1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Round To It mobile application or website (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms apply to all users of the Service, including users who access the Service without creating an account.

3. Description of Service

Round To It is not financial advice. The app provides tools for personal tracking and awareness only. Nothing in the Service constitutes financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Always consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions.

4. Account Creation and Authentication

Round To It accounts use magic link authentication — you sign in by entering your email address and tapping a link sent to that address. No password is ever created or stored.

If you suspect unauthorized access to your account, contact us immediately at hello@roundtoit.app.

5. Free Tier

The core features of Round To It are free, including unlimited transaction logging, categories, budgets, insights, streak tracking, and one manual cloud backup snapshot (with an optional cloud account).

6. Email Communications

Transactional Emails

By creating an account, you agree to receive the following transactional emails, which are necessary for account function and cannot be opted out of while your account is active:

Marketing Emails

We may send news and updates (new features, tips, and early access) to users who have provided express consent. Marketing emails are always optional and require your explicit opt-in. You may opt in during the sign-in / account creation flow or at any time in Settings → Account → Email Preferences.

You may withdraw consent at any time by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, by visiting roundtoit.app/account, or via Settings → Account → Email Preferences in the app. Withdrawal takes effect immediately.

We comply with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Creating an account or downloading the app does not constitute consent to receive marketing emails.

7. User Data and Privacy

Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in the Privacy Policy.

Your transaction data, categories, budgets, and other financial information belong to you. We do not sell your data to third parties. For full details on what we collect, how we use it, and your rights, please read our Privacy Policy.

You retain full ownership of any data you input into the Service (your transactions, categories, notes, etc.). We claim no ownership over your personal financial data.

Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you except the limited licence described above.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

11. Limitation of Liability

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time via Settings → Account → Delete Account in the app. Deleting your account will permanently remove your cloud account data as described in our Privacy Policy.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your licence to use the Service ends immediately.

Termination does not affect any data stored locally on your device — your local transactions, categories, and settings are unaffected by account deletion.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will:

Continued use of the Service after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you may delete your account and discontinue use of the Service.
